This recipe is great for those who need their on-the-go smoothie to have a little caffeine kick to it!
Ice Coffee Protein Smoothie
Double strength serving of coffee (normal coffee grounds, 1/2 amount of water)
1 scoop chocolate protein powder
Stevia, Truvia, or agave nectar – sweeten to taste
1 cup of ice (or make frozen almond/coconut milk ice cubes for a creamier taste)
Cool coffee over night in refrigerator or quickly in freezer. (Not in the coffee pot – quick temp changes may crack glass. I make a large batch of double strength coffee so I can have this drink whenever I want)
Add cold coffee, protein powder, ice, sweetener together and blend away!
